The Duo Live was recorded live in concert and is now available everywhere on the Xcappa Records label. It is a duo performance I did with Grammy-winning bassist Phil Palombi, and I consider it a sort of tribute to the classic “duo gigs” made popular in NYC when I was living and working there. True to the style of a duo gig, the album is a collection of standards, straight-ahead jazz tunes by Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane, Clare Fischer and Donald Brown, plus a pair of originals by yours truly.
